a little too symetrical for my tastes - I would have liked to have seen this shot from over his shoulder with the flag as the focal point. But obviously that is just my opinion. 5

another well told story. If your photo can tell a story or sparks question about who is this guy and what is his story then it has done it's job. Nice use of the nature light

Nice lighting and composition. Because of your title, it is fitting that he is looking at the flag while he's playing.

Nice concept and good capture. The colors seem a little muted to me, and I think less dof might give the photo a kick. Good job and good luck!

great scene, very patriotic, very humbling....

i come away feling like I've just walked past a Vietnam Vet....and the least I could do is drop a $1 or $2 in the bucket for him

Could work as an interesting political comment on the symbolic sunset of America, while a tired homeless vagrant tries to keep the dream alive. But I don't think that's what you were aiming for.

I like the idea. This would have been better I think if you used a shallower depth of field so all the stuff in the background was distracting.
