| Cute photo - but I can't see how it fits this challenge. The foreground object is very distracting, what is it, his hand? - Nice crop on his face though. |

i once heard a guy describing another photographer as one of the best he had ever seen. he said the guy's pictures were so telling, they didn't need captions. and that's my goal: to shoot images that fit a story and tell a story without a caption. to me, the challenge of dpc is to produce an image that there is no question about whether or not it fits.
here, you have a snapshot of a child with his mouth open. is he singing, smiling, or yelling? it's an interesting composition, but there is not telling what that is in front of his face that is catching the flash and throwing the shadow. the colors are interesting.
