Wow I am very impressed. The composition is wonderful. Very well balanced and I especially like the way it flows from one side of the picture to the other. I tried to find a distraction and the closest thing would be the headless guy on the left. The colors are absolutely amazing. VERY nice and smooth. You did especially well here. Lighting was nicely done here also. The focus and DOF are perfect. It flows through the entire picture. I am very impressed with this shot. Now I must tell you after writing the critique I find out you are 14. I now hand you the WOW factor. I can't seem to find the right words to tell you how doubley impressed I am. You are on your way to a very impressive career in photography. I wish you the best of luck in your future and I thank you for the opportunity to see such an impressive shot. |

This was one of my top picks. I love the castaway feeling you caught. The mixture of people are quite strange looking. |

I like this a lot..the selective desaturation works well, the band is an interesting group and the composition draws you into the picture. |

Sorry, can't stand that selective D-sat look anymore. And, I'm sorry to say, I don't feel like you make terribly original use of the technique. And just using a technique won't give you high scores on here. I know from my own experience.
Try to focus on getting a well composed, nicely lit, sharp picture that makes good use of perspective and DOF and that is a little more ORIGINAL.
No offense, please, I'm just trying to help.
Cheers,
Bruce
PS: gave you a 6 for on topic, technically sound but not very exciting |

The post processing on this one doesn't work for me. I don't understand why you want me to look at the orange dress and the lighter skin tones just don't work. A true b/w treatment would have been more appropriate or a tri- or quad-tone maybe. I would really like to see it in color...

I really like the musicians in this. The lady in the foreground is really into it. But as the eye progresses the colors seems to get off the further to the right you go. The dude on the far right seems out of place and sticks out. Something just doesn't seem right. I think that it is the baclground. It seems...fake.. the result of overprocessing to hide undesirables? |
