This is really a superior image! So fluid and well composed. I think I understand what other commenters are saying about wanting to see it in color, but I think I like it as is in B/W. I also don't think it's missing anything as far as a focal point goes - it has plenty of subject matter upon which to focus IMHO. My only complaint would be that it's cropped a little too loosely on the bottom - I would recommend cropping so that only one rock is visible. I think that this solves a number of issues raised by other commenters and provides the same perspective (yet only slightly different) of the beach. Just my 2 cents...

My favorite from your whole portfolio... love the smooth sands in this image and the DOF is great. Would love to see this in color :)

This is gorgeous! I love the smoothe quality of the sand. It has a very exotic landscape feel to it. This is one, where if it were in a challenge, I would give it a 10! See how subjective photography is? I absolutely love the black and white. I think it makes it stand out from a typical ocean photo. Fantastic job!

Well composed image however I agree with other commenters that it is missing "something." Not sure what that something is. I think the black and white is a good choice. Perhaps something was missing from the actual scene, such as clouds in the sky, or something like that. I also think it would benefit from an unsharpmask run as it seems a tad soft.

Another beautifully composed shot. I agree with the other commenters though, that I'd like to see it in color (although the B/W ain't bad at all!).

Would like to see the color version. I like the sand texture - "feels" like wet sand! Where's the footprints? :) Nice job.

I like this image also. Not real sure about being b/w.

I like the composition of this shot. I'm not sure if the B&W works, though. Even though is has a good range of lights to darks, IMO it still seems flat and lacking in contrast...

The comp is perfect by my likings- very pleasing to my eye. I love the sky too- very cool photo.
