Well now, I see you're putting the Olympus to good use :)

Your hair looks so much lighter. Wig? Caveman? He, he, an entry to remember.

That's scary.

I could see it on an album cover or something though.

There's nothing here, except the title, that shows me this fellow has anything to do with live music. He's not very visually appealing. On the other hand, you do have good colors.

I don't know if this live or not and I probably won't be able to sleep tonight after seeing that face. 5

'Lead Singer'? - But the only reason I know this is because of the title. Nothing in the photo indicates this person is a singer, or singing for that matter. On the positive side, I really liked the close-up cropping, and the gold paint reflections were well captured. .... hmmm unless you meant 'lead' as in the metal, and that's what the metallic paint represents? - Bit cryptic if that is the case.

subj isn't my taste, but photo tech correct

This portrait really grabs the viewer. You have nailed the subject dead on! Great shot.

I like the idea, but it seems more like a portrait (even if it is of a musician) than a capture of live music.

I can see this in the zoo chalenge or even time capsule (caveman era ) as well.

That's scary

looks like Arthas from Frozen Throne. google it.
08/18/2005 03:48:25 PM
can't tell it's music
08/18/2005 12:18:18 PM
ooh, grimacing! is she singing, or scaring halloween kids? more environment from the stage would have gotten you a better mark from me. otherwise, good photo!

Ugh! Technically sound, but estetically ugly. At least for me, sorry, I just can't look at this more than 2 secs.
08/17/2005 06:38:41 PM
I don't feel this meets the challenge. Could have been anybody anywhere doing anything
08/17/2005 05:53:06 PM
ROFLMBO Ok - this is a hoot. Hmmm - who is that behind the gold face paint and wig????
08/17/2005 12:23:47 PM
this picture has too much of a "posed" feel. I like the attempt, but can't vote it too high for that reason. The focus is also on his nose and not eyes. Portraits are better when the crispest plane of focus lies on the eyes.
08/17/2005 11:18:00 AM
er....hard to tell it relates to music....but great close up...i'll trust you on this
08/17/2005 08:42:31 AM
Effective portrait, but doesn't say 'Live Music' to me. It looks too posed. Eyes aren't in focus, which is the first place that needs it.
08/17/2005 06:19:54 AM
Great photo. I love the intensity...it speeks volumes
08/17/2005 05:58:37 AM
or tarzan's little brother?
08/17/2005 03:28:18 AM
The problem I have with this is that it could be anyone with some junk on their face looking silly. Other than your title there is nothing to indicate that this is an actual singer performing.
08/17/2005 01:26:14 AM
That's what I call "in your face". Perhaps a bit too intrusive! Excellent technique and concept.
08/17/2005 12:33:26 AM
me...is....scared.... lol :P haha great shot!

You mean "Lead Paint Sniffer" LOL
