a macro shot with flash. taken a foot away after a late evening thunderstorm. this guy keeps building a web by my front door, I dont bother breaking his web anymore

Ant, I feel that it's way too overexposed and I would of liked to see more detail of the spider web itself; like water droplets dripping off the web being that it is a "rain challenge". It looks like the picture came out too dark to begin with and you edited the picture to brighten it up. You're starting to lose your touch with long exposure shots. What's wrong with you? I thought that was your specialty. LOL.

I like how the web and the spider take up the whole image - that all else is black. I wish spider didn't have blown highlights and that the focus were a little sharper (like I should talk ;-).

Would have liked it a lot better if the highlights on the spider weren't blown out. Nice composition.

All my spider photographs are overexposed too :-) The camera just wants to expose for the dark that makes up 98% of the frame. Exposure compensation -2/3 stop might help.
