A little bit too cluttered, and the highlights are a bit too bright, but despite that, this has a nostalgic feel fitting for the challenge. The grain helps this, though maybe a little too strong. |

The graininess and blown out look to sky give this a look of another era...I like the position of horse in foreground and the harsh landscape; the whole composition has the look of another time. |

6 - Met the Challenge (I think a photo of this in a time capsule with the year would depict the year/era well). I like the effect you have done, you got very close to how they looked. Criticism; whilst you have achieved a fairly authentic look/feel to this era in my opinion, I think sepia may have added more authenticity. I could 'nitpick' the hay bales looking so 'machined' but maybe back then they did get them looking like that (wasn't around). The only other thing might be a slightly closer 'framing', so as just getting the horse and barn. Well done though, a good 'era capture'. |

I really liked this. The grain and washed out highlites are very effective in how they work with the subject in this case. Looks like an old photo that grandpa might have taken. |

An interesting photo with the attempted grain. The sky is very bright and as such, I find it distracting. |

You aged this photo well. Looks very authentic. The overexposed look and the grain is fitting, but not overdone. Still, I would like to see the horse in better focus. 7 |

Oh this is great. I wish the horse weren't dead center, but other than that, the grainy filter and the composition is good! |

Try offsetting the elements instead of everything going straight down the center. Also the horse and barn are too close kind of offsetting what is the center of this image. Your horizon also seems tilted. |

don't remember them having hay balers which created cylindrical bales back in the 1800's ;-)
Nice image though |
