I looked for this one after the voting was done. I actually thought it would place a lot higher.

Soft lighting conflict with the moment which I'm guessing is a time of partying (singing and beer drinking?).

Great diffused light. She resembles Minnie Pearl. Looks vintage with a twist!!

Too overexposed for my taste. Great subject though. Fits the challenge nicely.

I like the expression on the womens face. Beautiful image.

Nice authentic looking photo. Lighting is good as I believe the overexposed areas adds nicely here. I like the subtle sepia tone. Excellent work.

Very good use of lighting in the background; it really adds to this exposure.

I love the romance of the "yarn spinner" this image captures! Admittedly, you've lost some detail in the highlights, but that just seems to draw the focus in toward the storyteller's animated expression. Lovely image! (I hope you plan to share it with the performer.)

not to fond of the bright arms and tent, but subject is quite nice

Definitely fits in with the challenge. Comp looks okay, I'm just very concerned about the blown out areas. Not sure if a flash might have helped in combination with less exposure.

Way too overexposed; her arms and hands are lost in the blindingly white background.
