Well, I thought I'd be sittin' this one out. All week and no ideas :-/ And then this morning...aha!!! The museum might have something. Yeah, I have today off, so, off to the museum. So I took a lot of shots (as always), some kind of neat, but not really what I was after. I was about to settle for a pic of a '57 Corvette, then I came across this exhibit. I liked the setting (I'm a sucker for victorian period stuff), I really liked the lighting, I thought it was a decent composition, so wow, I couldn't have set it up this good myself :-)
The title is inspired by/a tribute to Oscar Wilde, for my wife, she is a big Oscar Wilde fan. When she saw this photo, that is the first thing she said, made her think of him.
This was a great experience for me, I learned some important stuff. I found it very challenging shooting at the museum. The lighting varies greatly exhibit to exhibit, many are behind glass (as this one was), so I was constantly checking for exposure etc. Many, many shots did not turn out. But I now feel even better equipped for the next similar situation.
So in ps-usm, hue/sat adj, brightness/contrast adj, levels adj, resized, one more light output pass of usm, added border, saved for web.
Thanks for checking out my pic :-)
