This image suffers from the lack of any clear subject. If the puddle itself is the subject, then get in close to one of the concentric circles left by the falling drops and use a shallow DOF. If there's something in the reflection that I'm supposed to recognize then a sharper focus on the reflected object and a different angle would really help. The water drop near the top edge of the dark part of the puddle draws my eye, but the composition suggests that there should be something more to see. |

Met the challenge and it's a pretty good shot. Unfortunately though, it just doesn't have a lot of universal appeal. The highlights are a bit harsh too. Still, good focus and DOF. |
