Question: Would it be better if I went down to the mud and remove those two white stones on the left bottom of the picture? Will that make a better photo? |

Thanks for all the comments and all the votes! I was really flattered as this is my first try. Thanks for all the supports! This photo was taken in a fish village in Hong Kong, called "Tai O". It was a busy fish village before. But many of the people there have gone to city for work. The population of the village are mainly old people. They do fishing, make salted fish/eggs and other sort of traditional Chinese fish village food. I took this picture mainly because I like their way of architecture that builds houses on wooden columns and piles. Thanks again! |

bit too cluttered - could have helped to be closer to isolate the boat more ? |

Nice shot, where is this? The black and white works great with the run down atmosphere. |

I really like the photo, only It doesn't feel deserted to me. Maybe it's the other boats in the background, or maybe it's the fresh trail in the mud. That's only a nitpick about the title, though, and I rated this photo highly. |

This photo works very well in black and white! The only thing I may have done differently on this one would have been to use the 427 pixel vertical crop rather than the 480 to allow you to bring the boat closer to the frame edge and cut out some of the empty area in front of it... good job! |

I like this better with the left side off to make a vertical comp. You'd lose the white XXX on the bank and that stern rope, too. I like the open shade in the fg in contrast with the bright sun on the rooftops, for some reason. Nice work. |

Good choice for a b&w. A lot to look at here. Interesting reflections in the water. Nice focus. Overall I gave you a 7. |

One of my favorites of the week. I love the mud, the reflections, the ladders. |

Excellent tones, not sure if this is too cluttered or not. Would you put this on your wall? |

Cool shot. My only suggestion would be to crop out the grass at the bottom of this shot. |

Excellent clear photo. Mmmm makes you wonder though, where that lone boat has been in it's travels. Good work. (9) |
