I wish this had a "richer" feel to it- maybe darken up the light part a bit? I like the overall composition. I'd reword the title - it's a tad confusing.

I think maybe there is a word missing from the title? (not?)...I think this is what confused me...1776-Freedom of, NOT from, a state of religion...that makes total sense. I like images that try to say something...that get the ole' blood boiling, or atleast make people think...the more I look at this the more I like it, esp. how the cross appears "separated" from the building bring about the whole separation of state and church issue...again "of " not "from"...I'll be looking forward to seeing the other comments this image might get. The dark sky is such a nice contrast against the lightness of the building and cross.

nice shot, but I think this would have worked better with a better sky for the background. Kind of lose the steeple.
