Well done - your best position yet.
Sorry I didn't vote on yours, it was a 9

My only critique would be maybe a tad less shadowing on her face. She certainly depicts a moment in the time period you called it. I always like the subject to be a little off center, but since she takes up the entire shot, it doesn't affect the quality. Maybe give her a smidge more "headroom."

i really would've thought this would score higher.... it was certianly one of the best in the challenge.... i love everything in this photo... the look on the womans face.. the colours.. the hat.. and the way she seems to be 'pausing ' her work while she talks to the 'other' person... well done... i wouldn't have changed a thing.... and don't let other people tell you you should either.... Spot On here......
i wish other people would step out of the square a bit more and add their own 'personal' style to their work....
thanks again for doing 'your' work....

6 - Met the Challenge (a photo of this in a time capsule depicts the era for future generations). Criticism; whilst I like the 'unusual' view of color for this type of 'era' (though I assume it is a current day activity you have captured), given the title, I think the old b/w or sepia would give it more drama and 'era feel' too. The look on the lady's face seems very natural and 'unstaged'. The colors are 'mellow' and you have captured the textures quite well. Perhaps a wider view (incorporating the surrounding 'era' items) may have made this a better photograph in my opinion, not sure. Perhaps, a slightly more side on angle, not sure. For me, it does look like 'stepping back in time into this setting', so in my opinion, you've done what you were challenged to do. Ok up to 6 from 5.

FInally! Someone who followed directions, used the year for the title and submitted a GOOD photo. You deserve a 10!

A nice fit into this challgne. This photo certainly depicts a different way of life and a different time. Technically, The bonnet is a little over-exposed and the shadow on the lady's face is a bit distracting. Maybe waiting to see if she turned her head into the light would have given more even light on her face and cut down the exposure on the bonnet.

Very interesting woman. Two things...the crop is a little tight at the top. Also, she should have turned her head the other way toward the light. Her cap is shadowing her face.

Hmm, I find the cropping a bit strange.
