The crowd in modern clothing and modern cars don't fit the era.

if these modern people weren't in the shot, i would feel taken back to 1955; but there are too many modern distractions for my taste....still a nice pic

I can see what you were trying to convey with this image, however the people dressed in modern clothes and the car in the corner detract from that nostalgic feel.

Great idea. I would have cropped the people out or exposed longer to blur their modern looks out and used a heavy ND filter or camera set to negative EV (to escape the white blowouts). Good choice overall!!

I think this shot could be for that time frame. The modern cars and modern dress take away from the time period. Maybe a closeup of the neon would have worked better and been a little more artistic.
