I sat by the two women who were squatting flies. They weren't unhappy. Simply slightly disturbed.

not sure why you isolated the hands. This can be a really effective technique but it usually requires some reason for the focus there ?

I love the use of natural light here to emphasize the hands. This is one of my favorites. Good job.

Hands make a great B/W subject, but the mixed lighting and busy background detract. With a bit of underexposure and careful post-processing you could probably make the lighting work (it's almost there as-is), and a crop would handle the rest. Good eye.

Would have been a beautiful portrait if the light had been controled a bit more.

Nice idea, but very stark sunlight with shadows that cut the hands into pieces. It destracts a bit from your subject.

interesting title :) would like to see the 'cloth' up close, without other person in shot and without shadows. I like the concept though. good job.

More like wrinkled hands....

A little closer on the hands. You've got too much going all the way around the photo that detracts from your subject.

Good subject matter ...

Nice shot... I almost want to see a really tight crop of just the hands on this one... good job!

Very appropriate title and subject, but the harsh lighting (blown out highlights) and unrelated distractions on the left detract from this shot. Perhaps a backdrop would be more nuetral. Fill flash might help give a more even lighting.

Great mood to this picture..

Neat b&w --little over exposed on the thumb. Interesting shot.

I think you have a good idea here, but I think the left part of the photo is too busy and distracts from the subject. A tighter cropping would have been better.

Could use some lighting work, the slight hint of light on the hand doesn't work very well. I think in this case, you need all or none. The bright light in the background doesnt help to draw viewers into the main subject.

i LOVE this mood.. resting yet restless
maybe a bit less contrast on the thumb
