 This warning created in response to the consern for those who are easily discouraged when viewing other photos not submitted to a challenge for one reason or another. If this is an issue for you, please do not view photos in the "outtakes" forum threads until after the voting is over. Or maybe never? Please remember that this site was created for the purpose of sharing and learning about photography. I hope you will gain from the photos I submit, perhaps improve on the ideas, or let me know (nicely please) how I can improve my photos. Thank you, and View at your own risk... (ya riiight)

Took this shot somewhere near Lake Tahoe, a dead tree in the snow. The snow provided a light bounce, illuminating the gnarled bark at the base of the tree. I love the shot, despite the sad lack of quality. I took it, maybe, 5 years ago with my old Olympus Camedia D-360L 1.3MPs! Some of my very early work. I love weather phenomena like halos, sunpillars, and northern lights, and have a small collection of some 'rare' sightings.
