Thanks for all your comments. As this is my second entry, I am trying to get a grip on that "compression" stuff. I am learning - slowly!! But, I will hopefully one day produce a photo that is "Just right". Thanks again. |

This is a great photo, and should not have been knocked down for the compression like it was. |

Very cute portrait, nice framing... the angle works too. |

Cute and a nice angle. It looks like the image is enlarged though. |

I'm sure you're getting this comment a lot, but the photo is too compressed. It only uses 37 kb, when it could be using 150 kb. It's a very fetching picture, I especially love her eyes. |

I particularly like the angle and view on this photo... The black and white works nicely with the lighting in this shot... I don't know if it's the camera or if this photo has been enlarged from its original size but there is a little pixellation that is quite visible... It's not a major flaw though... good work! |

Aussie, this is a really sweet photo, I love the way she looks up at the camera. Not sure dazed is the way I'd describe the look on her face. That file is still pretty small, is that due to your camera (I know you already got a lot of comments during the last challenge on that ...). If you are compressing the file to that level and would like to know how to compress it less, check out the JPG compression 101 under the Learn section or send me an email. Last but not least, you shouldn't really put comments that give your entry away on your other photos (your comment on your first entry). It's all supposed to be anonymous. No points deducted though for this and the jpg compression. |

I think the best suggestion I can make would have to do with compression and file sizes. I like what I can see in the pic, but the pixelation takes away from it. The size of this file is about 1/4 the size allowed by the competition rules -- bigger file size means you can compress it less and have a cleaner picture. |

The soft focus here doesn't work for me .......sorry |

She doesn't look dazed to me... perhaps that's love (for the photographer) in her eyes |

Very cute. Nice uncomplicated background for a portrait. Nice catchlights in the eyes. |

I particularly liked the look in the subject's face. Natural and trusting. The centre of attention at the eyes which seem to be saying something to the viewer, what I cannot interpret that there is something special in the expression of love and trust of the photographer. The look away from the lens was especially inspired. |

i like the expression - very innocent looking - but the image itself is pixalated |

You saved this at a very low quality. You have up to 150kb, use it. As for the photo, maybe a tad bit tighter. Also, black and white seems to be better with texture, old age, or something that is very quiet and silent. I'm sure a child of this age is not. :) |
