 Many a delight has come out of this curry tin courtesy of my girlfriends cooking.
The turmeric in the middle is a wonderful colour due to it being an organic varient rather than the more yellow version usually seen.

The smell during the photoshoot drove me to distraction.

Initially I was using the standard lens but wanted a tighter depth of field so moved over to my 50mm f/1.4 and stopped down to f/1.8 as this gave me the right dof for just the pot in the middle.

As to post-editing the only thing done to the image is a resize.

So close! Good color nice framing. Parts have good texture. Don't like the soft focus around the edges. Try it without the extenders. -- 9

Could use more depth of field (small aperture, slow shutter with tripod) to get all spices in focus.

I would have liked to see this pin sharp from front to back instead of a shallow dof. In order to do that you would have needed extra lighting

A couple of things; 1. imho the tin needed to be centre in the photo. 2. a shot like this imho needs to be sharper, the soft focus does not work when you want to see the textures of the other spices. Good luck
