Nothing but improvements here due to the comments I've received. Is this a better interpretation of selective desat?

Great job! Very nice editing work. I'm a sucker for this type of thing. Only thing I would probably do is bump up the color sat on the reflection (but then again, I tend to overdo that...). Terrific.

What does a TS lens do for the image?

Nice shot and a very creative and purposefull de-sat. However I wish there was more contrast in the B&W half between the roofline and the sky, especially in the clerestory over the entry doors: the contrast is there in the color version, but the hues de-sat too close to one another.

Oh I am impressed. I need to think outside the box and what you did here will be on my list. Good job!

The tilt-shift lens worked well here. You did a great job. The Desaturation on top and color on bottom is an interesting effect but works for me. Great work.

This is a great idea, and very well implemented. Nice work you've got here.

Wow! Really great desat work!!! I love that the reflection is colored and not the main subject....really looks neat. Nice clarity and great lines in this shot. Well done!

Oh wow, I seriously thought that rock was an elephant at first. Please tell me I'm not going crazy and someone else sees it too? I like this picture though. Is that someone's house?

I would say yes, it is better than the first (and I liked that one, too) :)
Super neat.

Oh this is awesome. How it's not anyone's favorite yet escapes me.
