Like the angle and overall composition. Nice depiction of the prettiest part of a violen.

I really like the detail... It just seems... I don't know... maybe a little washed out.

great choice of background! Good focus. There seems to be a spot light illuminating the subject, especially in the lower left corner - you might consider using a diffuser to get more even and less direct light that doesn't give a bright spot reflection.

This might have a bit more pop if the instument were placed on a solid black background with some lighting coming from a single source to one side. I like the variations in the woodgrain and the different colors of the wood. As it is just in the center of the shot, it doesn't have an overall interesting quality. I hope this helps.

I'm just not too crazy about the textured background. However, the subject is nicely done and meets the challenge well.
