This is our neighbor's garden gate. I shot this in morning light although this part was in shadow. I brought up the saturation and sharpness a little and did slight cropping.

I really liked this photo and wish it had done better. The color pallette is perfect. The texture detail is very nice. Simple composition, yet enough to hold your attention. I actually like that you left the leaf in the frame, supports the apparent age of the gate. Well done!

** Greetings from the Critique Club **

Simple, but effective. The wood texture really comes out on this image as a result of good exposure control. Composition is good also. The leaf adds a nice tough - wish it were a bit more in focus though. DOF is nice.

This is a neat picture, Judy. I like it a lot. The leaf stuck in the corner makes the whole thing seem poignant (or something like that!).

Great worn wood. I enjoy the old paint giving the colors of blue and yellow.
Much more creative than the masses of pencils, blocks, trees, houses, and woddys.
Thanks for using the creative side of your brain.

I love this so much. The texture is so vivid. You can actually feel the wood when you look at it. I love the blue tones in the wood that match the metal. Good luck!!!
