Nicest rose photo of the challenge; warmth and life amid coldness. Lighting worked out especially well. |

I really like this picture, but for me the ice leads to the impact of the photo, not the red of the rose. The little white flowers on the left are distracting. |

Good subject, good color... Coulda been a *little* bit brighter, although that would probably have made the color shallower on the petals. |

The detail on the ice is very nice, but I have to admit that I was getting rather sick of roses after reviewing all the pictures... |

Maybe you were at the right place at the right time, but that doesn't matter. I haven't given most of the "red objects" pictures high scores (especially the roses), but this: It's a beautiful, nearly flawless composition. Nice. |

This shot has great depth, the composition is almost flawless. Definitely one of my favorites! Great job and good luck! |

I really like this photo. All the other roses in this challenge are no competition. |

Very pretty. The background is distracting. Would a tighter crop help? |

Great shot with a fitting background. |

no, a shot of a rose even with ice on it, it's enought. |

Great juxtaposition of summer and winter - the reflections from the melting water are great - as is the focus and color. |

because of this picture, im really considering of founding a 'freezing rose' - fan club this rose isnt just a rose, its something much much more..
this rose is unfathomable, you cant describe it in words |

i like the clashing of passion (rose) and coldness (ice) |

Nice variation on the rose theme. The snow makes a nice contrast and the photo is very clean and sharp. |

Nice photo, I like the deep red color. I would have liked to have seen you get real close and get the part of the rose with all the ice to fill the photo. |

Impressive. Nice close up detail, vibrant colors as well. Good job. |

depth of field should be greater than this and shadow detail not good. |

Very nice! reminds me of snowwhite... i love the ice effect.. seems to bring out the red |

Would have been much more impressive with a real rose. |
