 A milk crate of antique mason jars that someone had taken to our local dump. These are collector's items and can fetch upwards of $5 CDN each at garage sales and auctions. Taken in early evening in natural sunlight. Increased contrast; increased saturation on red, yellow, and blue; Unsharp Mask 75% at 6 pixels (I think). Some cropping.

This is a very interesting photo, but I'm really not keen on the yellow part of the border. I may have tried white, I think it would tie in nicely with some of the rims of the jars.

border is distracting, the yellow is not necessary - a border should be neutral, not compete with the image

Simple enough shot I think, but technically good, all in focus, meets subject of challenge, interesting composition

Aha! I finally find out what a mason jar is. Cool. I'm learning new things all the time with DPC.

I like the gritty dirty look of the jars and the empty space on the bottom left but would like to see a less cropped version. Good lighting.
