 Taken from the ferry on the way back from Salt Spring Island to Vancouver last week. The original was blue. Converted to greyscale, then quadtone with red, black, yellow and gold inks. Converted back to RGB then played with color balance and curves to vreate this effect. I wish I could take out the lens flare but basic editing doesn't allow!

Love the feeling of texture in the water and the clouds (used a polarizer in the original shot)

There are two things that really bother me about this image and caused me to give it a score below average.

1. The red colour is very unnatural and makes me think of blood rather than a sunset.

2. Having lens flare is always bad in an image IMHO but here it is extra bad since it is the only thing in the image that isn´t red, black or white and therefore draws extra much attention.

On the plus side it wasn´t a bad idea to take a shot of the ocean like this but I don´t really like the outcome. Sorry.

Beautiful image, however to me it seems that the compostion could be improved slightly. I would like to see more sky and a little less water.

I'd make a couple recommendations for this photo: the red is interesting, but too much. If it's natural, it's freaky. If it's desat with a red overlay, it's overdone. Not a big fan of the tilted horizon.
