This shot was a quick take of my fiance sitting on my porch playing a drum I made at Cornerstone Festival.

The drum is nothing more than a cardboard tube (the type used for pouring cement pillar posts) a wood ring inside. Then a wet canvas type cloth applied over the top and stretched and stapled. Painted the tube and then glued some cloth on it all.

Some textures there but there is no focus on any of them. Perhaps choose one and highlight it in some way.

Nice pic but not leaves me wonering what you are trying to show me about the theme.

This just looks like a simple snapshot. Maybe just a picture of the drum with one hand on it using a black backdrop would have made it really effective. I hope this helps.
