 I had this one submitted for most of the week, but went back to try to re-shoot my other elephant picture to use in the textures challenge (didn't work, all the elephant would show me the 2nd time around was his butt) -- but I did get another animal shot I liked better. I'm glad I chose the other animal because there were some awesome elephant shots in this challenge. But I did like him a lot. He looks so happy in the suffocating heat :)

I know this is back from years ago but I still want to comment. This elephant is great, the wrinkles, the detail, the pose; I agree, he looks happy. The DOF emphasizes him, and does it well. I would suggest something but I donĂ¢€™ t see any to make. Well Done Sister.
Composition nice too, just his head.

I love the textures of the trunk of the elephant, all the different tones of grey are beautiful. I also like that you captured the single drops of water falling from the elephants mouth. Nice Shot.
