I didn't think you shot 'Nude' photos so I had to take a peek, especially since it shows in your top 4 challenge scores. :-) |

Interesting, just read your "six months later" comments. As a Christian, the title certainly catches my attention. but, that being said, I think you did such a good job with the exposure, the textures of steel and wood, along with the composition that it is a compelling image to me regardless of the title. IMO, it could have called "caught" or "circles" or whatever and the image would speak for itself. Good job. |

the reason why this is one of the best:
perfect grayscale, so many gray tones and clarity in the wood, not unlike Ansel Adams photos,
the barbed wire adds an interest to it and the composition is good,
the focus is good and the blurred background, the frame fits perfectly and adds to the image so you enjoy the gray tones even better |

I failed to comment on this during the challenge. Probably because I am somewhat turned off by images that represent either through the image itself or the title a religious theme. But this, even with the title, is an excellent image. Very well composed and b/w was a perfect choice. Very nicely done! |

I feel guilty not commenting on this one already. I gave it an 8 and think it's a fabulous photo. I'm a bit of a sucker for B&W and this one is very well done. |

I like this photograph. I voted but failed to comment during the challenge as there were soooo many. Since I vote on every single photo, I don't always have the time to comment. I like the title as it depicts a less religious take on the thorn crown, yet it is something familiar to most and it makes us take a second look. My only critique might be one of perhaps to tone down the bright of the clouds just a smidge. I had given this a 7 during the voting process. |

Congratulations on a strong top ten placing! Beautiful photo. Looks great in black and white. The disordered tangle of barbed wire adds to the textural feel of the image. The blurred background really makes the texture pop out, and I think that the white frame is an excellent idea to really make the greytones stand out from the grey DPChallenge background. I'll need to try this... Great title, too. |

WOW! Very nice. I love the b/w and framing. I would have thought to shoot this with a little more distance but this is really good. Perfect depth of field too.
Good luck |

I know everyone has their own opinion but I would of liked a shade more contrast in this photo. Other than that....PERFECT! 9! |
