| Slow down, ya' ribbon hog! Your camera's going to catch fire. Another fabulous shot and well worth the ribbon. Unless you're equally gifted in electrical engineering (and on the verge of discovering the next transistor), I'd say a change of career is in order! ;-) |

I was quite lucky to be at the right place at the right time, when these guys were doing their thing.. all I really did was not mess up :)
This image was processed and submitted in a bit of hurry, since the shot itself was taken late Sunday afternoon... I hardly expected it to do so well, but I'm not complaining!! :D

| Usually zoo animals look so sad being caged up, however this shot shows love affectection contentment. Excellent find. Nice sharp clear image and the lighting running down the females jaw works well with his darker face. This deserves to be a top 3 finish. I offer you my "10". Obviously the "king" enjoys being fussed over too! lol |

| This is a very good photo, one of my top three. But I don't like the dodging you did here... for my tastes anyway. Either completely black out the background around the lions, or allow the light to "fall off" in the corners.... I don't find the grass all that distracting, but the clear tracing around the females head and back draws my eyes to the dodging. You ahve a good picture here without it. just my two cents. |

| Very nice. The saturation and contrast are at the borderline of being too much, but no big deal. There is a hot spot on the young (or female). This should score pretty high, in part because it's so cute, but also because of its technical qualities. |

| Great crop & composition. You've got really good DOF too. Lighting is good and it's an endearing photo. This is a fiercely competitive challenge! 9 (Only because there are a few others that are a hair better IMHO - in any other challenge it would probably be a 10.) |
