Yes, stuffed, low-light/no flash. I agree I over-brightened it a bit, but the gradient is natural except for being changed to a sky-ish color instead of the dark wall there originally. I'll post a reduced original for comparison.
Reduced to DPC size, JPEG 8/10 (138kb):

Looks kind of like taxidermy, forgive the fox if I am wrong.
Either way, nice image |

I like this shot, I just think that it is a tad too bright. Nice comp. |

This one looks stuffed. At least his eyes should be in focus. |

This photo looks pretty funky to me. Looks like the fox(?) was Photoshopped onto a gradational background. Something about it just doesn't look natural to me. Also looks like the fox is dead & stuffed. Anyway, moving on from my confusion... I think your composition would be improved with a crop on the left, just a little away from its ear. That would bring the viewer's eye more easily from its glass eye & down along the body. OK, I have to move on now, your photo is starting to freak me out! :-D |

This appears to be stuffed?? The background might present a better focus on the animal if it were dark. I like the shadow on his neck and back and the angle of the shot. |

not sure if it is the over-processing, or if I truly am looking at a fox back from the taxidermist. |

i realise that not everybody has a zoo available, but whenever i see a stuffed animal, well, lets just say i'm not a huge fan. |
