Very nice...I love that the photographer has enough confidence in our knowing this a snake that he/she doesn't feel the need to show the head or tail. The texture is indeed beautiful, and I love the colors. Something about the cark bottom corners just leaves me slightly unfulfilled...could be a personal thing.

The cool blues and greens are nice compliments to each other. The overall shot suits the challenge. I love the way it looks if I turn my head 45 degrees and it is more like an S instead of a U. Just a thought.

Reminds me of my ball pythons skin. The photo has a slight soft focus in some areas but I know how diificult it is to get pictures of their skin when they move. I am giving it a 6.

Like the texture of the scales. The color is bright. I think it would have been a better shot if the head of the snake was somewhere in the frame. Don't know if you could have gotten that anyway. My opinion. Stil good capture.

snake skin! great pic & love the idea .. but the dark area on both side at the bottom part are abit distracting

Hardly original but interesting composition, I at least can feel the snakeskin through viewing this shot. I only gave it a 5 though since it seems to be slightly out of focus, I looked everywhere and I can´t make out one spot that is pristine sharp except for maybe just at the top in the middle but I am still not sure. Would have given it maybe even a 7 if it had been sharper and some better lighting (softer to be specifig) to increase the 3D feel to it.

Fantastic, I would like to see this one in the top 10.
The only thing that slightly diminishes it is the soft focus at the bottom center. Maybe a bit deeper DOP would have helped.
