 The eagle, perenially a symbol of independence, power, grace and freedom - undoubtedly I will get some "did not meet the challenge" comments but I think this meets the challenge.

Very little post-processing, and I know a few highlights on the beak have been blown out, was going to go reshoot but haven't got round to it. It was a little dark, too.

Taken at the world of birds in Cape Town at 300mm.

never seen a bird like this one. Good shot, though nothing dramatic about it, and it doesn't convey independence to me.

Wow! I didn't even know there was such a thing. He is beautiful and majestic just like the regular bald eagle, isn't he?
