The idea is clever, but I have to wonder why you chose to rotate it the 180 degrees? For me, it adds an uncomfortableness to the picture that seems counter to the subject matter. Beyond that, I just wish I could see more of the shadow puppets the children are making (or trying to make). About the only one that is really a strong part of the picture is the one on the far right. The rest of the children just look like they're sticking their hands out above the table because their shadows are so minimal.

I like the focus on the hands. there doesn't seem to be enough contrast of shadowing going on though

Great photo idea. Would be nice to see a different angle or composition with the same idea.

Cute concept, well focused, but couldn't you have gotten more of the shadows? (It is your title after all) Change angles, move your subjects, you really captured the essense of the round flat rock thing (your background). Photo 9 Creativity 7 B&W 6 total 7

The composition here is really interesting. It feels like you turned the photo upside down, and I'm not sure if that works, but it's still a very creative idea.

Very good idea, I just think you need more shadows, if that is what you were wanting.

I want to know more about ths scene.

Very unique perspective in this shot, but I feel like I want a different crop-- maybe tighter. I really like the perspective, though-- it's neat the way the children are all at the bottom of the photo.

more shadows would have helped this. the angle you shot this is....different. (lack of better word)

Interesting image but it doesn't really grab me and say "nice black and white"... maybe more arms and hands closer to the center of the photo would be a nice improvement :)

Cool concept, really like the angle the picture is taken at.

Nice light and shadow. Well done.

Why upside down? In my opinion (only my opinion), it looks confusing. I took the liberty of saving to disk and putting the image upright via PS Elements. Having looked at it the right way up, its a lovely photo. Would have scored higher but for this. sorry.

Has this been turned upside down? Very disorentating.

Was this a upside down rejected photo? lol. I like it, I was going to do a shadow one with my kid when the lights went out and we used flashlights but the camera couldnt adjust to the darkness like my eyes could.

interesting upside down
