Doug,
I went on quite an adventure with this entry, for an old DIY type of guy. It was alot of fun and it is quite encouraging when so many people write complimentary comments.
The real fact of the matter is that I have never been completely satisfied with the final picture, and when the mood strikes I am going to try it some more. I have been trying not to fill the hard drive on my old computer, butI guess I am going to have to try "Neat Image".
It is always a pleasure when one of the better photographers do a critique, I know I am getting an honest report. When they praise my work it gives me a super high. Thanks so very much!

Greetings from the Critique Club };-)
Initial thoughts
Beautiful composition, meets the challenge, nice composition.
Composition/ Content
A great shot from one of my favorite photographers! The compositon is right on. I see how much work you put into it and it really worked.
Technical
Focus, color and contrast are right on. You have really made a killer shot. I wonder if you ran this through Neat Image?
My Opinion On The Photo
I originally scored this shot a seven bordering on an eight. Looking at it again I wish I had scored the eight. If a few more would have done that you would have another ribbon! Great job, and keep up the good work.
I would be happy to talk further about this shot if you would like to contact me.

You got it! I wanted to do a prism but do you think I could find one anywhere? Where do you buy those things? And look at those colors! Primary colors! You could have put this one in that challenge too. Good luck in this challenge anyway, this is good. |

great shot..... reminds me of pink floyd's dark side of the moon...... I think it might have made it quite a bit darker... but i like the shot.... 8.... good luck, todd. |

Very nice shot. I wanted to do something like this for the colour challenge, but discovered that optical prisms aren't cheap. I would say you've got the composition and lighting just about right on this one. Well done. |

very good composition (rule of thirds!). nice colors, but maybe IMO colors should be more saturated, colors looks like a little bit washed. But you probably were having problem with undesired reflections. Well done! |

Stunning lighting - I suspect you will rank very highly with this shot. It has an elegance about it, whilst also appealing to science minded people and lovers of geometry. Definitely one of the few shots this week which are worthy of printing. |

I was hoping someone would pull one of these off this week - I didn't have a prism and in the end I didn't submit anything either! I thought this was a good idea for the theme anyway, so I'm pleased to see it in here at last! |

Colour, movement, crisp image and it has to be glass. Great idea. How did you light it? |

Very classic, although lacks a bit of sharpness! |

A lil more sharpness would make perfect, IMO... |
