Cute snapshot but out of focus.
Keep trying... |

Out of focus, but you already know that. |

First and foremost, the shot is out of focus. You also could have cropped differently so we don't get the "half body" which for me is distracting. |

Running a little faster than the AF. A little soft, but nice action and concentration shot. |

my guess is that you are getting beaten up for photo quality. just don't take it personally. you CAN improve if you want to, but you won't if you quit. it takes practice and commitment, but you can do it. these challenges can be somewhat brutal, but if you stick with it, you can get where you want to be.
the most important thing is to take advantage of your digital camera. take as many pictures as you can--it doesn't cost anything. keep practicing, and you'll learn how to capture what you see. once you learn to control your camera, you can start working on the creative side. good luck! |

Nice action, color, comp and lighting. The dof a bit out and the person in the background distracting. |

poor focus, bad crop, blurry (should use higher shutter speed on a bright day) |

good comp but out of focus exposure could use a little tweak |

Good framing except for the torso with legs. A faster shutter speed would have cleaned up the blur nicely. |

Maybe the picture would be better if the subject was completely in the frame. |

The boy seems a little out of focus. You might want to try a faster shutter speed or a higher ISO. |
