| Nice shot and perfect title. There is something about the shot that makes me want to see more texture. It almost seems too smooth, although I don't see any Neat Image or the like in your editing steps. The final product has nice tones, good composition and effective lighting - I'd just like to see a bit more sharpness perhaps to bring out the textures. |

| Congratulations on a top 10 finish! Wonderful composition and tone but the Noise Reduction took out a lot of detail where I would expect to see some more, especially in the part of the face of the lion. IMHO, selective noise removal usually works best on these types of photos. |

| This image would have faired much better with less post processing. The texture is toned down too far. However, the capture and pose are great so you get a 7. |

| Beautiful tones and lighting. There is something just not 'quite' right in this and I'm not sure if its the frame or the dark space. The balance is not quite there for a 10. I really can't put my finger on it. Maybe if you had cropped away some of the left side - I don't know since I can't see it side by side. Anyway, the post work is excellent but I think you had an excellent image to start with. 9 - good luck in the challenge! |
