The people in this scene feel like visual accessories. Are the birds the intended subject? If the composition delineated a clear subject this image would be stronger.

| I am not sure what is supposed to convey family here. The people on the beach? How do we know they are family? I don't see anything here that conveys the sense of family to me. Not even the birds. The tall grass in front is distracting as well. I find myself looking at the birds and the grass and not even noticing the beach. |

| So many things to look at in this image, its confusing. There are 2 subjects facing the viewer, birds flying through, many colored umbrellas, a pier, grasses in the FG. Its just hard to know where to look. I do think this shot could work, but not from this angle. |

Hey i grew up 45 minutes from there in delaware! its changed alot. ok...now on to my real comment:
fo me this photo would have been better for family if u had zoomed in a little more to the father and daughter feeding the birds. I know that O.C. is a family "hot spot" but most voters dont even know where it is. there is great colors and dof is perfect for me. a definate "meets the challenge" for me...good luck 7 |
