This is a fab shot. I saw it in the forums a couple of days ago, but never got around to commenting, so here I am now. :)
The colours are excellent, and the white is just white enough without being blown out (something I can never manage to achieve!). I like the green stem/leaves going off to the right, too. Gives it more interest, so it's more than just a flower on a black bg, you know?

| David, I think this is an excellent photo. Your photoshop work turned out really well. As far as having/not having the background, I think they both have a place. It all depends on the shot, and what it is going to be used for. This photo turned out excellent. The colors are really nice and the empty space is very effective. |
