I like this photo. I don't know if it's my screen (laptop) or not....but the dog looks pixelated? Something...not sure what...but love the shot. |

Strong compositions, and wonderful candid expressions. The lighting, with the bright background and low light frontal tones, takes away from the overall effect. Some fill flash or reflected light would strengthen the impact. |

Lovely picture. On my monitor, there seems to be a strong green tint. |

I'm not sure what your camera settings were, but it looks like you had a very high ISO when you shot this. The noise in the dark areas and especially on the dog is very distracting from the rest of the image. |

Try using flash when taking pictures out side. i.e. think you would get more detail on the dogs fur. pjus. |

Not a bad family portrait at all but the sky in the backround is blown out and they are underexposed, next time I would suggest you meter of the sky and use a fill flash and I bet you will like the outcome much more. |

I llove this - real feel of family, sharp, perhaps a little dark on faces and dog |

The dog is a bit dark, it would be nice to see a little more detail there. |

well composed portrait. Love the look on the girls face. Love the way the eyes are focused on different things and not staring at the camera. Color tones work well. 9 - good luck in the challenge! |

But for the lighting, this picture would have been a very nice family portrait. Fill-in flash or at least something to reflect the light on to the subject would have filled the shadows and helped obtain a balanced lighting and contrast without losing details in shadows and blowing out the highlights. |

brilliant composition to say the least. even the slight 'too dark' plays well here. |

I like the tone of the picture. Too bad all the detail in the dog is lost. A little fill flash would have helped. IMO |

Awwww, this is great! I love the dog being in the picture too -- added touch of family. This certainly would make a great framed print for Grandpa's desk, wouldn't it??? Beautiful! |

Cute family portrait. However, you've lost all detail in the dark areas (especially on the dog's fur), fill-flash would have helped with that. At this focal distance, we should be able to see its wiskers and hair detail. |

might be the monitor I'm using at work, but the photo looks a bit dark. Cannot see any facial details on the dog, and very little detail on the faces of the people. Perhaps metering differently would have helped. |

Oh I just love this natural pose but it's way underexposed. It woiuld be fantastic if you could have some light on their faces and on the dog. |
