| I like the feel of this... this is one of those that isnt only technically good, but it makes me want to come back and look again and again. |

| I really wish this were sharper, becuase it would be fantastic. It seems very grainy (which you may very well have been intending to do), but I would like to have seen it in a more crisp rendition. What waves! |

Very nice image which fits the challenge criteria well.
Would like to have seen the person stand out a bit more from the background, but that`s a minor criticism in what I feel is an excellent pic overall.

Really love the mood you have created here. Feels like an old classic image from a master photographer.
The title really adds to the image and challenge...
But if I would not have read the title, I would not have known why it fit the challenge.. A woman walking her dog on a beach does not tell me "Independence". GL :) |

| Sky and clouds seem to have more impact available than you have managed to show in this pic. The reflections in the water are a good point but overall I find this composition too full of areas of uniformity; the hills; the foreground; the sky. |

| This is amazing. The reflection of the sky in the wet sand...marvelous. Perhaps the woman is following her dog after he had chosen to flee from its owner... |

I love the feel of this picture! Very original processing. The composition is well balanced and the clouds really add to the mood of the photo.
Well done!
PS: I just started using borders so I'm a bit fixated on that but a tiny (a few pixels) black border might have added a contrast from the grey "voting" backgroung? |

| The softness of this is really a nice touch. I love the shimmering reflection and your composition of the human and dog in the right. The human is dark and the dog is white, which is the perfect contrast to the rest of the black and white image. I would hang this on my wall! 8 |

Good concept and the photo corresponds some kind of a relaxed atmosphere and yes independence.
But the focus is perhapst too soft and the white in the middle of the photo is sopmewhat burned put and the person is too dark. It has perhaps too much contrast. |

| I like the feel and mood of this capture. The rock immediately behind the child (or is that a shadow in the wave) diminishes the impact for me. |
