 Took this shot while hanging over the fence. I had my 70-300mm lens out as far as I could to try and capture the intensity of the group.
Selective cropping to remove the lead horse's back hoofs.
Had my WB set to sunshine, so I only needed a little bit of levels adjustment.
Used some Master color saturation to bring out the colors more.
My old lens is slow, so I needed some sharpening on this one.

8 - Good capture. Good colors. Good 'dirt'. Criticism; sharper angle, tighter crop (to utilize the blue fencing only), slightly richer colors, would make this a better photograph for me.

Some CA probably from a cheap lens at the long end of the zoom. Also worked too much for my liking - oversaturated colours. Nice action shot though, and well cropped.

nice shot, I like the way the leader 's feet are all up and the flying dirt, but the colors look a bit over-saturated to me

too much sharpening for me, but what a great shot, look at that horse on the far right, just beautiful, I can feel the thunder just looking at it.

Nice pony shot. I go to Del Mar alot. This is comped good the detail is great exposure is great. I like this picture

well done! I have to say though it looks a bit over satureated and over sharpened as well. The lighting and frozen motion are great though.
