 A kayaker in a fast paced, cold sport. I wanted to capture an interesting position, one of survival and talent. Taken in a Colorado river system. I kind of wanted to go with a more traditional action sport (football, basketball, etc.), but I thought seperating myself and my homestate would be more meaningful. Thanks.

What an awesome shot! This is one of the biggest limitations of my 717 - not good at all for action shots. You've really captured the moment here with the water, the colors and the stopped action. The only thing I would like better is if we could see more of the face and expression of the person.

everything about this is incredible. the color is great, the composition is wonderful, and i can't believe how you captured this action...where were you standing? just amazing!!!! 10!!! i really hope you earn a ribbon for this!

composition is good as is the exposure. May have been sharpened a bit much or it could be my monitor. Nice shot though.
