Not my granddaughter but a friends granddaughter. (whew!) My 20 something kids aren't ready for that step yet... or as Amanda will tell you -- EVER!

So far, this is my favorite family picture. The lighting on this portrait is just beautiful, and so are the baby and the proud parents. I love this! 10

The tonality of this makes it seem to be a little flat for me. But I seldom pick the winner's on here.

Very Nice. There seems to be to much light on the mothers hands. I would have prefered to see them croped more, placing the baby lower to the corner of the shot. I think that would have put more accenuation on the families faces. Other then that this is really a nice photo. I gave a high mark.

Beautiful shot. My only negative comment would be that the lighting is a little harsh, resulting in some loss of DOF (maybe reducing the backlighting and increasing the contrast just a tad would help?). Still, I love the tones and composition. Very well done. 9

This is my favorite shot of the challenge! I just zipped through them quickly, but this is far above the rest at communicating "Family" in a well shot photograph. Nice placement, great tones and sharp focus. 10 in a very difficult challenge.

Very nice tight crop. You could even lose more of the mother's hands and it would be ok. I like the shadowing of the mom and dad's face. I wish the baby's face had the same rich depth of tone.
