Great capture ... ball in the shot ... observers reaction ... perfect timing ... exposure good ... but PLEASE make your shots to the 640 pixel maximum on the longer side so we can see the detail.

This is great! I too think the background is a little busy, but changing that would mean removing the guys in the box on the second flaw, who really add another element to this shot. Then again, it would also have been nice to see more of the batter's expression, I wonder what the original looks like at full size?

I like the lighting and detail here but as is mentioned below the background is a little busy. Maybe by using a larger aperture (small number) and creating a shallower depth of field you could have blurred some of the background and had the viewers eye more concentrated on the batsman (?) :o)

As others have said a bit too busy, the sharpness and subject are very good. To improve either crop or have a shallow depth of field so the background is blurred. Perhaps if this were a bit less bright people would have scored this slightly better too, IMHO. Good first challenge, stick around, you'll learn hraps.

Too much stuff in the shot and that pulls away from any real focus. If you cropped maybe anything but, the batter and the ball I think your shot would be better. I probably would just crop out everything but, the batter or catcher too much unattractive stuff in the background.

#1 rule - get the ball in the shot - you just did (at the cost of composition). Looks like fun.

looks like a nice capture, but the image is too small to see any detail.
