okay here is an example of leading lines that don't work - all the lines point to Mom's crotch. Look, both of moms arms, and her legs, the line of the towel, the line of daughters arm, I can't help but think she's be happier if you cropped off her legs and feet, or if someone had pulled down the towel. Otherwise a great family portrait. |

Feels like a bit too much of a snapshot, and the lighting is a little harsh on the background |

nice candid ... but it is not eyecandy enough for this site. i say this not in a bad way but for you to know if and why you get marked down. i love the pic simply because this is what real families do. |

Nice and unposed. I'll elaborate now that I take a second look. The colors are nice and not overdone. The skintones are quite natural. It's not the greatest shot on earth, but it has such a nice warm fuzzy feel and definitely speaks family. Thanks for the smile. |

I think more upper background and less couch would make this one even better |

I realize it is probably mom, daughter, son(?) BUT I just don't get family from the shot. Looks very posed and non-spontaneous which I think takes away from what i believe to be your intent with the shot. The foreground is good but the bright water I find distracting. Makes me want to look lower in the shot which only leaves feet as a focal point. |
