 I shot this photo in my room. Used some white posterboard, hot glued the pennies in a big curving line. As for "The Stand Out", I hot glued a bent paper clip behnind it, and just made adjustments so that it would not be seen from the cameras angle. Used a diffuesed 40 watt house light above the whole thing and a flash light in spot position for "The Stand Out". I have low hopes for this photo, I don't know why, but I just have a feeling people are gonna hate this one. OH WELL! :p

Thank you for the compliment. I said I had low hopes because of the fact that penny photos, well, any photo of coins in general, gets a really low score on this site. I don't really know why, but I now think it's because most of them just look the same.

beautiful composition. Wish the other pennies were more clear. ... but then I guess the one in standout will loose it's impact. Picture is a little low in clarity overall.

Wow! I know how this took some time! I think this is a very creative picture! Very different from most! Love the lighting on the stand out penny! For all the time to setup and take this picture, and for the creativity and quality on it i give you a 10

On first pass, I passed. On second I began to appreciate it for the creativity of the shot. On third pass you got me. Good idea, well executed, creative! Nice job!

I usually find a bunch of coins mundane, but you gave it interest. Love the light on the single penny. This is well executed.

Finally! A penny picture that is well lit. The row of pennies in the background is nice. I can't believe that you actually have them all standing up like that and perfectly spaced. Surely this is some trick. Very creative...it is nice to see.

this is nice. How about a long exposure where the coin rolls out and into the light? - that might add a touch of dynamism to the image
