Hi Max - critique club ...
I'm no great fan of the selective desaturation technique, but here it's effective and useful - emphasise the curves.
I'd back up the point about the horizon line - it seems a little arbitrary to put it dead centre: if you could have got a bit higher and placed the horizon further up the shot there might have been even more impact.
The other down-side is tha amount of noise in the sky, and those big blurry lumps. I wonder if you've over-processed the shot, or cropped out too much for the resolution of your camera. Worth trying a programme like Neatimage, which is excellent at getting rid of just that stuff.
The space and emptines you've caught is excellent though, good work.

Nice composition but, to me, the yellow lines stand-out a little too much. It's almost like they were painted on afterwards, which rather breaks the mood of the picture. |

Interesting subject. I might have cropped more off the top, and added to the right. I like the reduced colours and saturated double yellow. |

The leading line works well with space. Good luck |

Great perspective shot. I'm not really sold on the desaturation of all the colors but the yellow stripes, but I really love the perspective |

I like the sparseness of this, just the road wrapping around into the distance, one truck. The road is crucial to transportation. I might crop out some of the sky. Wonder about the funny edges on the lines - the white line and the edge of the wall. Did you sharpen it too much perhaps? |

An interesting picture, I like the yellow lines being left in. I think the truck distracts a little. |

Beautiful, beautiful. If you were to crop \'much\' of the sky, would it boost the impact of this shot even more? |

Nice idea, but does not work for me. Prehaps if the truck was nearer and there were some dark heavy clouds in the sky it would make the picture a lot more emotive. (PS - looks like you have two smudges towards top center of the picture which could be dirt on your sensor - have not marked you down for these). |

Is that a jump further down the road(jk)?! That would be sweeet... I loke the selective color |

Good use of color in this. The curve it creates really draws me into this. |

Nice crop. Nice perspective. Rule of thirds. Good color harmony. But a dump truck? This shot would look so hot with a sports car in it. -8- |

This one is very good. The opinion is that the sky is litle to overexposed but the rest of the photo is very good. Nice work |

Extremely effective photography. I like these 'isolated colour' shots a lot - and the choice of colour in this pic is excellent. Good title too. 8 |

The desaturation of all but the road lines works very well with this image but maybe a little bit to much sky. Still an 8 |

I think i'd crop a bit off the top and move the truck more to the left, but otherwise a very nice shot. Is this Lake Ponchetrain (sp?) headin' towards New Orleans? |

Excellent. As a standard B/W or color this wouldn't be so special but desaturating all but the crisp and sharp yellow line is an excellent idea. Also a good choice to have this much DOF. I haven't rated all but so far this is one out of two for the first place. |
