Two icecubes on a mirror, I'd been taking pictures for a few minutes so they were rapidly melting. I liked the play of light in the ice and on the water melt.

almost a great shot...would work better as B/W and the right side could benefit from a greater depth of field. good composition, but the colored spots are distracting

I wish a little more of the shot was in focus since the ice sure does have interesting details.

Nice image but it makes me want to see more of the carving. Perfect exposure.

The images that always suffer due to lack of comments are the ones that are right in the middle ground. Everyone comments on the awesome shots. Some comment on the bad shots. But the middle ones, very few people say anything. So here I am to explain why I voted a 5:

I find my eye wandering back and forth trying to figure out what to land on. It's as if there is no real "subject" to the image.

I do like the sharpness on the left. Lack of sharpness is one of my big reasons for dropping below a 5.

So it's neither a bad shot, nor one that stands out from the crowd... and that's why I ended up giving it a 5. Hope this helps.

Lovely in it's simplicity and contrasat. Details are great with that touch of blue here and there.
