Excellent detail, great color, well chosen composition that contrasts well with the subject and provides meanignful context. I only wish the top of the wings weren't cut off by the frame. Seems a tiny bit soft on focus. Those antennae are increadible! 8

this is a real beauty! the delicate antannae and wings are right on. Even the clipped-off wingtip is no detrement here. lighting, color, focus and composition are very nice. one of my favorites of the challenge...good luck!

7 - This creature is amazing, like a body made of pipe cleaners. For me, if you had cropped the bottom instead of the top (the wings) it would be much better. Also 'fore focus' too. Would just love to see that abdomen in detail. Those antennae are, amazing.

Wow! Where you found this I cannot guess. Very nicely done. I think the table or plank he is sitting on is a touch distracting, but the focal point is gorgeous!

great detail, color and texture! I'm not so sure about the choice of the square crop here, though, as I find the clipped top wing to be a minor distraction.

I counted close to 100 bug shots in this challenge. This one stands out as my favorite and I give you a 10. You show such nice detail and texture. I didn't realize that some moths have feather-like antennas. The surface the moth is standing on goes well with the color scheme. My one and only complaint is that the wing is cropped off at the top.
