It's what the title says it is, basically. I had some fresh strawberries my girlfriend gave me...they were really, really good, too...and I plunked them down on top of the smoothie and shot away with window light.

Post processing involved BradP's action for USM, levels, and a minor hue/sat adjustment on yellow.

That's it...by the way, the smoothie was made from a whole mango, some OJ, a cup of yogurt, and some strawberries. Yes, it was tasty.

good focus on left s/berry. the right part of image in shadow is detracting from the rest - composition a bit weak and the exposure is a bit hot.

strawberries are always fun choices, but the lighting here is soft and detracts from the brightness of the berry.

The images that always suffer from a lack of comments are the ones that are right in the middle ground. Everyone comments on the awesome shots. Some comment on the bad shots. But the middle ones, very few people say anything. So here I am to explain why I voted a 5:

I think what keeps me from scoring this image higher is a lack of sharpness in at least one of the strawberries. You're "almost there". The strawberry on the left is more focused than the one on the right (they don't have to both be in focus, so you're fine there). You might also experiment a little with various angles. This seems fine... but I'm wondering if a different angle might add a little more "pizazz" to the image.

Anyway, the image isn't really bad... it's not as good as it could be either. So that's why I ended up giving a 5. I hope the comments help.

Good DOF. Lighting seems a little flat and the composition looks forced IMHO.
