 Thanks to everyone for all the great comments. No one spotted that this baby grasshopper only had one leg - when I saw him, I presumed that this was the reason he was not hopping away in the same way that everything else did.

Used my 500T macro filter on the 70-300mm lens.

7 - Nice. More 'fore focus', right antenna and leg would be good. Actually they are VERY long antennae aren't they, good luck focusing on those.

This is my favorite bug so far. The angle of the shot is nice, leaving some fuzzy background with the antennae shooting off to the right. . I like the rough edge of the leaf too. This is a good one.
